Mansfield's Rid Litter Day Slated for April 29

Residents can participate by adopting a stretch of a highway that they will clear of trash at least four times a year.

From the Town of Mansfield: Saturday, April 29, 2017, has been designated as Mansfield's Rid Litter Day. On this day we are asking every resident to help make Mansfield a litter-free community by picking up trash along a stretch of road. Just a half hour of time can make a difference in your neighborhood.

If you have bags of litter that exceed your household trash collection service, you may put it out with the following week's service. You may also take bags of litter to the Mansfield transfer station for no charge. The transfer station is located at 221 Warrenville Road in Mansfield Center.

If you are interested in "adopting" a portion of your road by picking up litter along the road at least four times a year, then contact the Public Works Office at 860-429-3333.
