Ishmael Rosas, of Mansfield, passed away on February 29, 2016.
He was born on December 25, 1995. Ishmael is a graduate of E.O. Smith High School. He attended Manchester Community College and is currently enrolled at Emerson College of Boston.
Ishmael enjoyed doing stand-up comedy, and making short films. In high school, he participated in track, soccer, and crew. Ishmael participated in Boy Scouts, and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He also achieved the rank of black belt in karate. Ishmael was a member of Storrs Friends Meetinghouse.
Ishmael is survived by his mother, Laura Rosas of Mansfield, and his father, Cipriano Rosas of Plainfield. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Ann Smith of Westbrook; his uncles, James Smith of Clinton, NY, and Richard Smith of Nashua, NH, and their families.
Family will receive relatives and friends Saturday, March 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. Willimantic.
