The event began with a milk toast, during which Bysiewicz highlighted the importance of dairy farming and the dedication of local farmers who provide fresh, high-quality milk to communities across the state. Attendees were then treated to a guided tour of the farm and a milk tasting experience showcasing Mountain Dairy's products.
"I had the pleasure of growing up on a farm," she said. "Ours was just 100 acres compared to your 900. We are delighted to be here to celebrate National Milk Day and to encourage the people of Connecticut to get other locally grown or produced agricultural products delivered as well."
