CONNECTICUT — Black bear sightings seem to be on the rise of late in Connecticut and that means living with them. In that light, the UConn Extension program is offering a new video about co-existing with the animals

Black bears are indeed the only bear species in Connecticut and their population is growing, Extension officials said. They generally shy away from people, but are, in their own way, total foodies, they added.

And populated areas have the food sources.
