MANSFIELD, CT — The driver of a car who was took quick to pass became tangled with a motorcycle driver in Mansfield, state police said.

According to a state police report released this week, the crash took place on Oct. 14 at 7:29 p.m.

A crash report indicates that, on Route 195 near Cemetery Road, a 2024 Honda "Africa Twin" motorcycle with a 24-year-old Canterbury man aboard was headed south and slowed to make a left to turn around and head north.

As the motorcycle slowed to make the left, the driver of a 2016 Acura ILX, a 24-year-old man from New London, began passing the motorcycle on the left and smashed into it as it was making the left, according to a crash report.

The motorcycle toppled over and the driver suffered suffered an ankle injury, according to a crash report. The driver was wearing a helmet, state police said. The driver of the car was issued a verbal warning for unsafe passing, according to a crash report.
