As Power Outages Continue, Mansfield Opens Warming Centers
Hundreds remain without power in town.

MANSFIELD, CT - As power outages persist in the wake of the overnight storms that battered Connecticut, the Town of Mansfield has announced the opening of warming centers for residents.
As of 3:45 p.m. Thursday, there were 416 Eversource customers without power — or about 6 percent of the 7,054 customers in town.
Here is the town’s announcement released Thursday afternoon:
“The Town of Mansfield continues to coordinate with Eversource and Public Works crews to open roads and restore power. Residents are reminded to contact Eversource to report outages or power lines down at 1-800-286-2000.
Residents without power in need of respite can come to the Community Center until 9 p.m. this evening or during hours of 5:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. (Friday) or the Library until 8 p.m. this evening or during hours of 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Friday).”
