Red Sox vs. Cubs or Yankees vs. Mets

When it comes to which team to watch tonight Fox has decided to go with the New York subway series over that between teams who haven't played at Fenway since 1918.

So often we hear about the perceived dividing line in the state. Whether you live east or west of the Connecticut River determines how much state funding is received, whether economic development is viable, the importance of maintaining rural character... the list goes on and on.

This line is also supposed to define sports allegiance.

It's not a perfect science, but each year the pollsters come out and check the temperature of Major League Baseball fans just to see if there's been a shift between those who favor pin stripes and those who prefer the color red.

Well this weekend, as MLB showcases interleague play there is some interesting commentary about the state's Fox affiliate choosing to go with the New York series over the Boston and Chicago games.
