Road Throws A Curve And Car Winds Up In Ditch In Mansfield

MANSFIELD, CT — A car wound up in a ditch over the weekend in a single-vehicle crash in Mansfield, state police said.

The incident took place Sunday at 5:19 a.m. on Storrs Road near Mansfield Hollow Road, state police said.

According to a crash report, a 230-year-old Norwalk woman driving a 2012 Nissan Sentra was heading south on a curve when the car suddenly veered off the road and went into a ditch.

The car was towed from the scene and the woman was sent to Windham Hospital with what state police termed minor injuries, according to a crash report.
