St. Patrick's Day Party; Spa Treatments; Brunch and Ballet

Check out the March events planned at the Mansfield Senior Center.

From brunch and ballet, a mani and a pedi, to a St. Patrick’s Day celebration, and medical services — these are just a few of the programs planned for March at the Mansfield Senior Center.

AARP Tax-Aide Assistance – AARP’s Tax-Aide program provides free tax preparation to taxpayers with low to moderate income, with special attention to those 60 and older. Appointments are available Tuesdays and Thursdays through April 7. Please call 860-429-0262 to schedule an appointment.

The Disabled/Elderly Homeowners Tax Credit Program ends May 1. Please call Kathy Ann Easley at 860-487-9873 for more information.

Mobile Food Share- March 3, March 17 and March 31. Parking lot of Wrights Way at 11:30 am-12 pm. Bring your shopping bags, no registration needed.

Low Vision Support Group - Wednesday, March 9 at 11 am. Join us for support, friendship and helpful tips. Please call 860-487-9875 for more information.

Caregiver’s Support Group - Wednesday, March 16 at 3 pm. Caring for a parent, spouse or disabled adult child? Join us for support and confidential conversation with peer caregivers. Please call 860-487-9875 for more information.

Massage and Reflexology Sessions – Deb Turner from Harmony Massager will provide 25-minute sessions for Seniors for $15. Wednesday, March 16 from 9 am to 1 pm. Please call 860-487-9870 to schedule an appointment.

Foot care with Dr. Thomas Walter - Tuesday, March 29 from 9 am-12 pm. Complete foot care and podiatric evaluation. Please call 860-487-9870 to schedule an appointment.

Mini Spa- Monday, March 14 from 9 am - 12 pm. Manicures and Pedicures available for seniors from Hope Charrette for $15. Michelle DeLuco offers seniors haircuts for $15. Call 860-487-9870 for appointment.

St. Patrick’s Day Entertainment- Wednesday, March 16 at 1 pm. Entertainment by “Seldom Heard” at 1 pm, cost is $2 payable at the front desk by March 14.

Open Mic Party- Thursday, March 17 at 10 am. Sing, play an instrument or tell a joke, entertain us. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Call 860-429 -0262 to attend and/ or perform.

Brunch and Ballet- Saturday, March 12 at noon. Brunch includes: Quiche Lorraine, Cheese Quiche, garden salad, fruit salad and beverage. Young dancers from preschool, elementary and high school will perform. Cost is $6. Purchase your ticket by March 9.

“Keep your Brain Healthy & Fit”- Begins Thursday, March 24 at 1 pm. Join this free six-session memory enhancing workshop. Presented by Jo Anne Harrison-Becker, MS Gerontology. Call 860-487-9870 to sign up.

Classical Music Afternoon- Thursday, March 24 at 4 pm. Pianist is Sarah Puckett and Cellist is John Lenard. A reception with hors d’oeuvres and beverages will follow the performance. Call 860-487-9870 to sign up March 20.

Crafts with International UConn students- Tuesday, March 22 at 1 pm. Learn to decorate blown eggs with help from students and share a bit about their cultures. Call 860-487-9870 to sign up by March 16.
