MANSFIELD, CT — State police are on the lookout for a vehicle that fled the scene of a crash at a local supermarket.

The incident took place just before 11 a.m. on Sept. 17 at the Big Y World Class Market at 141 Storrs Road, state police said.

According to a crash report, a 2017 Honda Civi was parked unoccupied in a space n the store's lot. An unknown vehicle started to back up into a space next to the Honda, but hit the Honda in the process, state police said.

The second vehicle then fled the scene, but witnesses alerted state police to the crash.
