A midnight Uber ride turned into a crash scene in Mansfield, according to a state police report.

MANSFIELD, CT — A midnight Uber ride turned into a crash scene after a failed U-turn attempt, state police said.
The incident took place at midnight Sunday morning on Storrs Road, according to a crash report.
The report states that an Uber driver — 44-year-old Mystic man in a 2023 Kia Forte — was headed north on Storrs Road with a 19-year-old Wilbraham, MA, man in a 2015 Jeep Cherokee right bedind him.

The Uber driver — who later told state police he was trying to maneuver to make a U-turn — suddenly switched from the right to the left lane and the two vehicles collided, according to a crash report.
The 19-year-old refused medical attention at the scene and the Uber driver was taken to an area hospital as a precaution, according to a crash report.
