One of onewith's website pitches is, "We're onewith. We invented swimwear that fits like no-show underwear. Our swimwear is patent-pending, dig-free, elastic-free, and edgeless, just like your favorite no-show seamless undies. truly onewith a woman's body."

Segar told UConn officials her presentation to five of the nation’s top investors was "the most nervous I've ever been in my whole life."

Segar studied English Language and Literature at UConn Avery Point. She worked in the bridal industry before taking on swimsuits.

She told UConn officials that she came up with the idea for onewith after a search for a "flattering" swimsuit to wear on a vacation to Miami. She told UConn she wanted something that "felt one" with her body and offered a seamless design that fit like underwear, but with flattering silhouettes and swimwear sophistication.
