UConn Huskies National Champions!
The University of Connecticut men's basketball team will be welcomed home Tuesday with a rally on the campus to start at 5 p.m.
They've done it.
The University of Connecticut men's basketball team is the national champion... for the third time!
It seems the team surprised nearly everyone, except the fans, especially the thousands who gathered tonight at Gampel Pavilion to watch the team play with its heart in its hand on the court at Reliant Stadium in Houston, TX.

Behind at the half, the Huskies dominated nearly all of the last 20 minutes and ultimately beat the Butler Bulldogs by 12 points, 53 to 41.
Throughout the game fans frantically Tweeted their emotions - from cursing a bad call to proclaiming their love for Kemba Walker. Pictures of Gov. Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman were passed around. Interior shots of Gampel and the students rushing the floor after the game ended were shared.

The excitement has poured out into the campus where students left the arena shouting, fist pumping and ready to let loose.

The University of Connecticut men's basketball team will return to Gampel Pavilion in Storrs for a Championship Pep Rally. The doors to Gampel Pavilion will open at approximately 5 p.m. and the team is expected to arrive in Storrs at approximately 5:30 p.m.
