Box Truck Carrying Bread Catches Fire In Milford
The Milford Fire Department responded to a truck fire on Route 1, officials said.

MILFORD, CT — A box truck hauling bread caught fire early Monday morning, said Adam Hansen, who is the Milford Fire Department's public information officer.
At 6:08 a.m. Monday, fire crews responded to a box truck fire at 1063 Boston Post Road, Hansen said.
When fire crews arrived, they found a box truck with the cab fully engulfed in flames, Hansen said.

The fire was quickly extinguished and the damage to the cargo portion of the truck was minimized, Hansen said.
No injuries were reported, and the state Department of Consumer Protection was contacted due to the truck hauling bread, Hansen said.

Fire personnel remained until the truck was towed away, Hansen said.
