Details Released For Milford's Annual Juneteenth Celebration
Milford Juneteenth Planning Committee said the celebration would include highlights of Black History, music and children's activities.
MILFORD, CT – Milford’s Juneteenth Celebration will feature highlights of Black history, culture, resilience and achievement as part of the national day to commemorate Emancipation in the United States.
The Fourth Annual Juneteenth Celebration is set for June 17 on Milford Green from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Milford Juneteenth Planning Committee and All-In for Milford will sponsor the city’s fourth annual Juneteenth celebration featuring music, poetry, crafts, children’s activities and story time, and exhibitors from businesses and local nonprofits.

Milford’s Juneteenth Celebration committee said Juneteenth is celebrated nationwide as a day when people of all races join in the spirit of equality and understanding to acknowledge the past truthfully, celebrate where we are today and ground our future in mutual respect and appreciation.
Milford’s Fourth Annual Juneteenth celebration is supported by the Milford Arts Council (MAC), Beth-El Center, Milford Historical Society, Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce, Milford Bank, First Baptist Church of Milford, United Way, Devon Rotary, Griffin Hospital, Purple Pantry, Barrett Outdoor, and the City of Milford.
