Event That's 'Favorite Among Golf Enthusiasts' Set To Tee Off In Milford

MILFORD – The 24th Annual "Golf for a Cause" tournament is seeking for golfers of all ages and skill levels.

The event is set to be held at the Grassy Hill Country Club on Sept. 19.

"This long-standing event has become a favorite among golf enthusiasts with the proceeds benefiting the Milford United Way," according to a statement from the organization.

Activities include a pre-golf lunch, golf cart, on-the-course refreshments, two Mulligan tickets, a foursome photo, the premiere Awards Dinner, and, of course, a day of golf.

Last year’s winning team, which included Wyatt, Bob, and Ryan Zahornasky and Rich Alchimio, will be back to defend their title.

Other on-the-course contests include Hole-in-One, Closest to the Pin, and Longest Drive. The tournament is conducted in a scramble format.

In addition, the Milford United Way Raffle will be held with winners taking home some "valuable prizes," according to the statement.
