Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Southern CT; Big Traffic Delays Reported
A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for coastal sections of southern CT and there are already numerous travel delays reported.

SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook and a coastal flood advisory from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday for coastal sections of Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties.
"Minor flooding in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Expect up to 1 1/2 feet of inundation above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding," the National Weather Service said in a statement.
"The magnitude of coastal flooding will depend on how quickly winds turn to the the north. If winds
turn northerly quicker than currently forecast, coastal flooding magnitude would be lower than predicted and any wave action minimized," the weather service added.
