Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Southern Connecticut: What You Need To Know

SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for southern Connecticut on Friday.

"Northwest wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph likely through this afternoon. Isolated peak wind gusts to 50 mph possible," the weather service said in a statement.

The rain will end this morning and temperatures will rise to around 50 degrees, but it will feel colder with the strong wind gusts.

Saturday will feature clouds but temperatures into the mid 50s with wind gusts approaching 25 mph. Sunday will be cooler, with wind gusts around 20 mph.

Some rain and snow is forecast early Monday before changing to all rain. Rain is forecast for the entire day on Monday.

Sunshine returns Tuesday through Thursday, but temperatures remain chilly with highs only around 50 degrees.
