Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Crash, 1 Charged: Milford Police
Police said the driver of the car has been charged with being under the influence of liquor or drugs.

MILFORD, CT — Police said a motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after being injured in a crash with a car and the driver of the car is accused of being under the influence of liquor or drugs.
On Wednesday, June 21, around 8:55 p.m., police said officers responded to a vehicle crash near Bridgeport Avenue and Meadows End Road.
Police said that after the initial investigation, officers determined that a 2020 Nissan Sentra was traveling west on Bridgeport Avenue.

The driver made a left turn onto Meadows End Road when it struck a motorcycle traveling east on Broadway Avenue, police said.
Police said the motorcyclist was transported to Bridgeport Hospital with serious injuries.

The Nissan Sentra was located at 242 Broadway, and the driver was identified as Daniel DeFilippo, 68, of Milford, police said.
Police said that during the investigation, officers determined that DeFilippo was driving under the influence of liquor or drugs.
DeFilippo was charged with operation while under the influence of liquor or drugs or while having an elevated blood alcohol content, police said.
Police officials said DeFilippo posted a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court on July 14.
