Foran High School in 2011 before taking a position in the North Branford Public Schools district as a high school science teacher in 2016. later in 2021, Farotti became the assistant principal of East Haven High School and served as an active partner to students, staff and families.

During her time in North Branford Public Schools District, Farotti transitioned into the role of K-12 Science Leader and Instructional Technology Coach for the district. She also worked to implement a new science curriculum, Amplify Science, at the middle school land. She worked to engage the parent community through a series of several parent-technology nights for the district.

“I believe the additions of Farotti and Sulzycki will positively impact all Jonathan Law stakeholders,” Bryan Darcy said, Jonathan Law High School Principal. “Their experiences and complementary strengths stood out in the interview process. They form a leadership team I’m excited to partner with for many years.”

Sulzycki started in the educational setting as a school psychologist at the Waterbury Arts Magnet School and later at Terryville High School in Plymouth in 2011. In 2019, Sulzycki was appointed the director of Pupil Personnel Services for the Plymouth Public School District in Terryville, Conn. In 2021, she took on a new role as the assistant principal of Ox Ridge Elementary School in the Darien Public School System.

During her time as assistant principal of Ox Ridge Elementary School, Sulzycki collaborated with staff, students and families to address student needs. Her work included the development of bullying prevention plans and implementing student discipline procedures using responsive classroom models and restorative practices. She was deeply involved with staff development while at the school, developing professional development sessions regarding social-emotional learning and working with teachers to solidify the process for making referrals to DCF and other outside agencies.

“I’m confident in these two new appointments to the leadership team at Jonathan Law,” Dr. Anna Cutaia said, Superintendent of Schools. “There will be a continued focus on relationship building and meaningful student experiences. Darcy, Farotti and Sulzycki together will continue the long-lasting tradition of a strong Law Nation.”
