4 Rescued After Being Stranded On Flagpole Rock: Milford Fire Dep't

Fire officials said they received a call stating four people were stranded on the rock at Anchor Beach.

MILFORD, CT – Milford Fire Department said fire personnel rescued four people from Flagpole Rock at Anchor Beach.

Adam Hansen, Milford Fire Department PIO, said that around 8 p.m., MFD received a call stating four people were stranded on the rock at Anchor Beach.

Hansen said Engine 6 fire personnel donned exposure suits, tethered off to a tagline, and made their way out to the rock.

Hansen said that the four people were accounted for and given life preservers. Fire personnel assisted them back to the shore. Hansen said all four of them were rescued, and no injuries were reported.
