Man Accused Of Sexual Abuse Of A Minor, Held On $500K Bond: Milford PD

Milford Police Department's Special Investigations Unit and the State of Connecticut Department of Children held a three-year investigation.

MILFORD, CT — A Milford man is being held in lieu of a $500,000 bond and is accused of sexually abusing a juvenile, police said.

Through an investigation that started in 2019 and ended in 2021, the Milford Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit and the State of Connecticut Department of Children and Families determined Anthony Lake, 46, "allegedly did have inappropriate sexual contact with a juvenile victim in Milford," police said in a news release.

Police said on July 5 Lake was taken into custody after a warrant for his arrest was issued by Milford Superior Court.

Lake was charged with two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, first-degree sexual assault and three counts of risk of injury to a minor.

Police said Lake was held on a $500,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court on Thursday, July 6.
