Police: As Family Sleeps, Milford Home Burglarized

Two adults and three children were sleeping in the upper level of the home at the time of the break in, which occurred sometime during the early morning hours Friday.

Milford Police are investigating an early morning break in at home in Milford Friday.

The burglary, which occurred Friday sometime between midnight and 5 am, occurred to a home on Myers Lane.

According to Lt. Vaughan Dumas, the suspect or suspects entered the residence through an unlocked rear bathroom window. 

"Two laptops, cash, and a cell phone were taken from a ground floor office," Dumas stated in a press release. "Two adults and three children were sleeping in the upper level of the home at the time."

The thief or thieves then exited through a rear ground floor doorway, he said.

Similar Burglary

A similar night time burglary to an outside “three season” porch that is converted to an office space, was reported on April 23 at a home on Campfield Circle during the same time frame. 

A laptop, cell phone, and cash were taken while the residents were sleeping. 

Dumas noted that Campfield Circle is in the same area of Myers Lane.
