Musical Acts, Food Trucks, More: New Details Released On Milford Lobster Roll Festival
The upcoming first annual event will feature Connecticut's iconic coastal dish and much more.
MILFORD, CT — The musical lineup and other pertinent information for the inaugural Lobster Roll Festival in Milford has been released, offering "a full day of live entertainment to pair perfectly with Connecticut’s iconic lobster roll," according to The Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce.
The festival will be Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Walnut Beach.
The headline act will be Mystic Bowie’s Talking Dreads. "This dynamic reggae-inspired project reimagines Talking Heads classics with irresistible Caribbean rhythms. Led by Mystic Bowie — who has performed with original Talking Heads members — the band delivers joyful, high-energy performances that get the whole crowd moving," according to the statement.

The band will play from 5 to 7 p.m.
The RumRunners will kick things off. The group is a "high-energy, eight-piece band [that] has been entertaining audiences up and down the East Coast for more than 25 years, performing dance, rock, pop, and original music with an infectious stage presence," according to the chamber.

They'll be followed by Matt Kampe & The Hub. Kampe is a Berklee College of Music graduate and multi-instrumentalist who blends influences from New Orleans soul to Stevie Wonder and The Beatles.
Dr. B and The Remedy will follow, a five-piece rock and folk-rock group led by Bob “Dr. B” Ehalt, known for bringing high-energy musical “healing” to audiences throughout New England.
The festival will feature the Fast Signs Lobster Roll Tent, featuring lobster rolls from Stonebridge, Moby Dick’s, Nautilus, and The Breakwall. Tickets are $35.
Steve’s Plumbing Beverage Tent will offer local craft beers from Tribus Brewery and Soundview Brewing, plus selections from Wines & More. Tickets are $8.
The event is free to the public for entry and entertainment. Food and beverage is separate.
