Benedict Anthony Fraccola IV passed away on August 13, 2023, at Milford Hospital while surrounded by his loving family.

Benedict was born on August 20, 1998, in New Haven, CT, to Linda Candella and the late Benedict Anthony Fraccola III.

Benedict graduated from Foran High School. He was known to everyone as a living encyclopedia for video games, movies and cartoons. He could beat any game he played, had an amazing knowledge of storylines, and loved to share his passion with friends and family.

He had a smile that could make anyone’s heart melt and witty humor to go along with it. Benedict had a deep appreciation for animals and the outdoors.

He loved showering his pets with affection. He also loved spending time with his family on trips to zoos, aquariums and other adventures. He always had a love for dinosaurs, especially T-Rex, Godzilla, Pokémon, Spyro, Super Mario and so many more. His infectious laugh and love for life will carry on in the memories of all those who loved him.

Benedict is survived by his loving and devoted mother, Linda Candella, loving stepfather James Green and amazing, loving sister Brianna Marie Fraccola. His Loving Maternal Grandmother, Sinde O’Donnell, and loving maternal Grandfather, Rocco Candella. Aunt Donna Fitzgerald, uncle Dave Fitzgerald, uncle Joseph Candella. Cousins David, Makenzie, Rocco, Giuliana and Dante. Special Family Friend Diana Simington. Benedict is predeceased by his father, Benedict Anthony Fraccola III, paternal grandfather Benedict Anthony Fraccola Jr., and paternal grandmother, Donna Mae Pallozzi Fraccola.

The family wishes to extend their deepest thanks and appreciation to Dr. Eugene Hall and all the doctors from Yale New Haven Hospital and Yale New Haven MDA clinic who played a pivotal role in Benedict’s care. They would also like to thank Ed Perten, whom Benedict loved to talk to, and the Milford First Responders.
