Obituary: Charles J. Plasky, 91, of Milford

Charles was a proud U.S. Army veteran, longtime volunteer for St. Ann's School in Milford and dedicated employee of UI for many years.

MILFORD, CT - (From Adzima Funeral Home) Charles J. Plasky, age 91, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Marion Sandlin Plasky, passed away on April 18, 2022, at The Mary Wade Home in New Haven.

Charles was born in Bridgeport on August 1, 1930, to the late John and Rose (Nemergut) Plasky and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Fairfield Prep High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Charles was retired from the United Illuminating Company. He was a longtime volunteer for St. Ann’s School in Milford and enjoyed traveling.

Charles was a model train enthusiast and was a member of the Train Club at the Milford Senior Center, and also enjoyed chair caning.

Survivors include his devoted son, Robert Plasky and his wife Barbara of Milford, 3 cherished grandchildren, Christopher (Liz), Elizabeth and Anna, and great grandchildren, Ethan and Gracen. In addition to his beloved wife and parents, Charles was pre-deceased by his son, Richard.

Visitation on Monday April 25th from 10-11 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Prayer Service at 11 a.m.

Interment with full military honors will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Stratford.
