Obituary: Jean Lewis, 85, Of Milford

Jean T. Lewis, 85, of Milford, passed away on August 29, 2023.

Born on November 29, 1937, in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Ella Muller.

Jean worked for many years as a waitress at the Bridgeport Flyer Diner.

She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially bedazzling clothing and shoes. She loved being out on her boat, Spoof lll, and hosting holiday parties.

Jean was known for her extravagant Christmas decorations and a diehard New York Yankees Fan.

Jean is survived by her daughters, Linda (Jerry Bennett) Richter and Suzanne (James) Barber; special niece, Cindy (Bill) Jaques; grandchildren, Melanie, Michelle, Cody, Lauren, and Joseph; numerous great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her spouse, Albert Lewis; former spouse, William Moyar; and brothers, Robert and Elmer Muller.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 1950 Barnum Ave. in Stratford, Conn.

Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Ave., Bridgeport, Conn.
