She then pursued a career in education, obtaining her B.A. in Science from Southern Connecticut State College in 1969. She also received her Master’s in Reading that summer from the University of Bridgeport and her 6th year teaching certificate from Southern Connecticut State University in 1992.

Patricia worked for the Trumbull Board of Education for 38 years, where she taught 5th and 2nd grade at Booth Hill School. She loved teaching and touched and influenced countless lives in her almost 76 years, half of which she spent teaching.

Generations of students, parents and colleagues adored Patricia for her efforts in the classroom.

Patricia, or Patti as she was lovingly known, was an avid UCONN Women’s Basketball fan and loved attending games.

She loved cooking and baking and would fill her car with food and desserts to bring to any gathering she attended. She also loved traveling and going on cruises. She enjoyed spending time with her “club,” some of her best lifelong friends.

Patti was an avid reader, and books were one of her passions, along with baking, sewing and embroidery.

Later in life, she began her most enjoyable pastime being a grandma.

She loved her grandchildren more than anything else in the world. Patti took every opportunity to be in her grandchildren’s lives, whether attending sporting events, theatrical endeavors, concerts, or award ceremonies. She loved buying them little presents, cooking for them, and, most notably, baking desserts for their birthday parties.
