Obituary: Rose Marie Rein Anderson, 88, of Milford

Rose was always loving and devoted to her family and was passionate about music, dancing and her cats Missy and Frisky.

MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Rose Marie Rein Anderson, 88, of Milford, CT and Port Charlotte, Florida, beloved wife of the late Robert E. Anderson, passed away peacefully at her home on February 22, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on April 24, 1933 in Waterbury and moved to Milford at a very young age.

A foster daughter of the Rogers/Bristol/Nettleton family, Rose attended West Main Street Grammar School and Milford High School.

Locally, she worked for Wilson H. Lee, Standard and Poor, Harrison and Gould, Robert Shaw, and Casanova Candy and, with her husband, owned a laundry service in Port Charlotte, Florida.

She was passionate about music and dancing, hot fudge sundaes, the color blue, and taking cruises. An avid animal lover, she will be deeply missed by her two cats, Missy and Frisky.

The dearest mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all, she always saw the good in everything and in everyone and was always happy with what God had provided for her.

Rose is survived by her beloved daughter, Elizabeth J. Anderson-Zaczkowski and her husband, Paul; adoring grandchildren, Adam A. Zaczkowski (Erin Brown), Aaron A. Zaczkowski (Stephanie Daniels), Ethan A. Zaczkowski (Ashley Salamon) and three great-grandsons, Caleb A. Zaczkowski, Noah B. Zaczkowski, and Owen B. Zaczkowski; one brother: Arthur K. Clow (Gladys) of South Mills, SC; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews in addition to extended family and friends.

She was predeceased by her brothers Richard Rein, John J. Rein (Cherilyn Roberge), and Albie Nettleton; a sister, Estelle Brunetti (Tony/Anthony), and her friend, Alva Franklin Flake of Michigan.

A Graveside Service will take place on April 24, 2022 10:30 a.m. at the Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry St., Milford, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Notre Dame High School in Fairfield, CT.
