Obituary: Zeljko Vidackovic, 56, of Milford
Zeljko, known for his sense of humor, generosity and intelligence, was a devoted family man, lover of life, soccer fan and music enthusiast.

MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Zeljko Vidackovic passed away suddenly on March 20th, 2022 in Milford, CT just 12 days shy of his 57th birthday.
He was born on March 31st, 1965, in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina to his mother Anka and late father Bozo Vidackovic.
He believed in autonomy and a person’s right to choose the life they want so after graduating from the University of Sarajevo with a degree in Architecture, Zeljko fulfilled his lifelong dream of moving to America. New York to be exact!
He started from scratch and worked tirelessly to build a new life. Over the next few years, his hard work enabled him to help his sister, his nephews, and his parents join him in New York and escape the civil war in Bosnia.
Zeljko was a true lover of life; was a fan of soccer, rock music (#1 one fan the Rolling Stones!), trying new foods, and he loved a good debate. His sense of humor, generosity, and intelligence brought him many friends over the years.
His greatest joy was becoming a father to his wonderful children Marko and Luka who he loved more than anything else in the world. He was a doting father involved in homework, sports practices, and was their biggest cheerleader.
He was loved very much, and their only wish is to make him proud!
He is survived by his sons Marko and Luka and their mother Sandra Vidackovic, his mother Anka Vidackovic, sister Marina Skrbic-Oliver, brother in-law William (Bill) Oliver, nephews Igor (Iggy) and Davor Skrbic-Oliver and countless friends and family in the US, Bosnia, Croatia, and across the globe.
Zeljko will be desperately missed by all those that he’s left behind. Our hearts are so broken by this unexpected loss. He was one of a kind and to be loved by him was to be truly blessed.
All services will be private. Interment of ashes will be held in Sarajevo, Bosnia.
And in the words of the Rolling Stones “A smile relieves a heart that grieves.”
