Physician Leaders to Host Town Hall in Milford

Milford, CT - (April, 2016) The Doctors Will See You Now: Physician Leaders to Host Town Hall on Medical Expertise Offered in our Community. Are you looking for healthcare partners that understand your concerns, help you stay healthy and guide you in finding specialized care when necessary? If so, please join physician leaders from the Milford Hospital Medical Staff at a town-hall style meeting on Tuesday, April 12th at the hospital, 300 Seaside Avenue, Milford. During this event, a trio of physician specialists will proudly discuss their affiliation with Milford Hospital. The goal of this event is to provide information, from the physician perspective, on our professional medical community and our community hospital.

The town hall will be moderated by Milford Hospital’s chief of cardiology and vice-president of the medical staff, Dr. Clifford Kramer. The panel will include: Dr. Paul Davis, Dr. Amit Lahav and Dr. Robert Lewis.

Dr. Davis is Senior Partner of Diagnostic Imaging of Milford, past Chief of Medical Staff at Milford Hospital, current Chairman of Radiology imaging and procedures. He is co-founder of Milford Vascular Institute where he performs vascular interventions, including treatment of arterial and venous disease. He is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary care to all patients. He also serves on many medical committees and is a member of the hospital medical executive board.

Dr. Lahav is an Orthopedic Surgeon with OrthopedicHealth, LLC in Milford. He is a pioneer in state of the art, innovative surgical techniques in orthopedics. Dr. Lahav is highly regarded for both his surgical expertise as well as his outstanding bedside manner. He has authored numerous articles, lectured at several national medical conferences, and currently hosts a TV medical program called Health Care from the Hill on Citizens TV in New Haven County. In 2011 Dr. Lahav was recognized with the Milford Hospital Outstanding Physician Award for Clinical Excellence.

Dr. Robert Lewis is a cardiologist with Cardiovascular Physicians and Consultants, in Milford. He is Milford Hospital’s Chairman of Medicine and past Chief of Staff. In October 2015, Dr. Lewis was presented with the Yale University School of Medicine 2015 Annual Award for Excellence in Teaching Subspecialty Ambulatory Care Internal Medicine to Medical Students. In 2011, Dr. Lewis was also recognized with the Milford Hospital Outstanding Physician Award for Clinical Excellence.

The three physician panelists will lead an interactive discussion regarding their affiliation with Milford Hospital as well as the expertise offered by our community health care providers. Time will be allowed following the panel for attendee questions.

The town-hall will begin at 6:00pm and conclude at 7:30pm. It will be held in the Milford Hospital auditoriums, 300 Seaside Avenue. Refreshments will be served.
