Republican State Rep Running For Reelection

The 119th district rep announced her run.

MILFORD--State Representative Pam Staneski is seeking a second term.

Staneski, a Republican representing the 119th Assembly District, announced her run on March 31. The district is comprised of parts of Milford and Orange.

She made the announcement before a crowd of supporters at Stonebridge Restaurant, according to a media release.

Her 2016 campaign will feature the theme, A Real Voice For The People.

She's currently a member of the legislature’s Education, Children, and Veterans Affairs committees, a member of three bi-partisan coalitions: the Manufacturing Caucus, Sportsmen Caucus, and the Individuals with Developmental Disability Group.

“Constituency work is important to me—that is my job, to work for and on behalf of the people of the 119th—and that includes continuing to fight for structural changes on the way state finances are run," Staneski said in a statement. "Our state is in fiscal trouble. Last session I voted against the 2nd highest tax increase in the state’s history because I believe Connecticut needs to live, as you and I do, within its means."
