Shoplifting at the Milford Mall Leads to 2 Arrests: Police
Milford police say two New Haven residents were arrested.

Milford Police say they responded to the Westfield Connecticut Post Mall on a report of a shoplifting on Oct. 11.
Investigation led to the arrest of Carlos Nieves, 44, of 260 Columbus Avenue in New Haven, after he allegedly took $285 worth of products from a store called ‘Things Remembered.’ Police say he was found on a CT Transit bus trying to get away.
Nieves is charged with sixth-degree larceny. He was released on a promise to appear in court.

Police say Nieves is also accused of violation of a protective order. The female he was in company of on the bus, Amy Fragola, 29, of 42 Henry Street in New Haven, had a full no-contact order against Nieves.
After investigation, Fragola was also arrested for second-degree failure to appear. Her bond was set at $500, and she was was held. According to police, Fragola failed to appear to court on Sept. 21, 2015.
