Car Crashes Into Aldi, Car Fire Reported In Milford: Fire Dept.
Milford Fire Department responded to two incidents, one on Sunday afternoon and the other Monday morning.

MILFORD, CT — Milford Fire Crews responded to two incidents, one Sunday afternoon and the other Monday early morning, according to Adam Hansen, who is the fire department's public information officer.
On Sunday, July 9, crews responded to a 911 call of a car crashing into a building at 238 Boston Post Road.
Hansen said when fire crews arrived on the scene, they found a passenger-style vehicle against the exterior of the Aldi’s Food Store. He said firefighters removed the keys, stabilized the car and checked for hazards.

The driver was transported to the hospital as a precaution, Hansen said.
Hansen said the building department was called to the scene to verify the stability of the structure.

On Monday, July 10, around 4:30 a.m., Milford Fire received a 911 call reporting a vehicle fire on I-95 South Bound, Hansen said.
Hansen said when crews arrived, they found a passenger-style vehicle being transported on a flatbed truck fully involved in the fire.
Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire and the car was removed from the flatbed truck and was eventually towed off the highway, Hansen said.
