5th Annual Monroe Trail Run Set for Oct. 2 at Great Hollow Lake

Proceeds Benefit Project Warmth, a not-for-profit organization providing energy assistance to Monroe residents.

MONROE, CT — The 5th annual Monroe Trail Run will take place Sunday October 2nd at Great Hollow Lake. First 300 registered will receive race day T-shirt. Proceeds will benefit Project Warmth of Monroe – a non-profit providing energy assistance to Monroe residents. Last year’s donation exceeded $11,500!

Please come out and support our community. Pre and post-race refreshments. Trophies awarded to top finishers in age groups. Race registration www.hitekracing.com/monroetrailrun/

Location Route Information
Race starts and ends at Great Hollow Lake Park
Computerized timing, restroom facilities, water station and post race refreshments.
Terrain: gentle hills, wood chips, rocks, tree roots and some narrow trails.
Pets & baby joggers not permitted on race course.
Pets not allowed in Great Hollow Lake park Please carpool, parking is limited

Take Exit 38 to Merritt Pkwy to Exit 49 (see below)

This will put you on the Route 25 Connector. Stay on the Connector until the Expressway ends. Continue on Route 25 through 4 traffic lights. Right before the 5th traffic light, turn right onto Old Newtown Road (at the Duchess Restaurant). At first stop sign, turn right onto Purdy Hill Road. Great Hollow Lake is 1/4 mile on the left.
