Ada May Bevans Lived in Monroe Most of Her Life

The following obituary is taken off of the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home website.

Ada May Bevans, wife of the Late Ernest H. Bevans, died on August 17, 2013 at the age of 94. Ada leaves behind four children, 14 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren, one brother and one sister.

Ada worked as a professional baker for two bakeries. Her last 20 years of work she oversaw the preparation of food for Stepney Elementary School.

Ada, an avid bowler also liked to square dance. With accomplishments like the women's league of bowlers that traveled Nationally to tournaments. Danced club squares including performances at the Danbury Fair.

She will be missed by many.

Calling hours along with services were held on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at the Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home located at 315 Monroe Tpke., Monroe, CT followed by burial at the Stepney Cemetery located off of Pepper St. in Monroe, CT.
