Arrests Made in Attempted Armed Robbery of Mobil Station

An attempted armed robbery was reported at the Mobil gas station in front of Village Square on Monroe Turnpike early Thursday afternoon. Police said the three suspects fled the scene by the time officers arrived, but that the victims gave a description of their vehicle.

Police received an assist from officers in Shelton, who spotted a vehicle matching the description and arrested the suspects, according to Monroe Police Lt. Brian McCauley.

Monroe police were processing the suspects on charges at the time of this report. McCauley said more details will be available by tomorrow morning.
