
An immature raccoon wandered into the recycling room at Big Y World Class Market, 535 Monroe Turnpike, at 1:26 p.m. on June 7, according to police.
Monroe Animal Control Officer Ed Risko said no rabies testing was required and the young animal was taken to Wildlife in Crisis — a Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection licensed wildlife rehabilitator in Weston — for evaluation.
