An employee of Bank of America reported copper water supply pipes stolen June 23 from a house the bank had foreclosed on on Cottage Street. A plumber estimated the cost of replacement and repairs to be $3,500.
Police said there was no sign of forced entry, but that it was difficult to close the door securely.
Though the burglary was discovered on June 15, police said the bank waited until the 23rd to report it.
