Cod, Haddock and salmon are his top sellers, but Kassas says people haven't been buying as much fresh fish. "They're not cooking at home," he said. "Most of the people, they're working until 5 or 6 o'clock, then come in here to buy a cooked meal." Monroe Fish Market is offering a family special for fried fish meals on Friday nights, which includes six small pieces of fish with french fries and coleslaw for $15.99. Normally, it would cost $30 to buy three meals with two pieces of fish in each, according to Kassas.
