Details on Monroe's Superintendent Search
Superintendent Jim Agostine will be retiring on June 30.

MONROE, CT — The Board of Education has outlined the details on how the search for a new superintendent of schools will work following Superintendent Jim Agostine's retirement on June 30, reports the Monroe Courier.
Agostine will be replaced on an interim basis by current Assistant Superintendent John Battista, and district IT and operations director Jack Zamary will fill Battista's role.
The board will form a formal search committee in September. The committee will consist of board members, teachers and parents. After the committee has finalized plans for their ideal candidate, they will accept bids from companies that conduct superintendent searches.
