Drug Dealer Enters Plea in Monroe Overdose Death
A 37-year-old man was found dead at a Monroe Home in November of 2016. His alleged drug dealer now faces charges.

MONROE, CT — A heroin dealer plead guilty to selling the drug to a Monroe man who died from an overdose in 2016 in court Monday, according to U.S. Attorney Deirdre M. Daly. Careem Bentley, a.k.a "C-Lows," 34, of Bridgeport plead guilty in connection with the November 23, 2016, overdose.
Police say they found a man unresponsive on the floor of a local home and pronounced him dead on the scene. Investigators seized multiple folds of suspected heroin as well as the victim's cell phone, and found that he bought the drug from Bentley on Nov. 22.
Bentley was arrested on April 26. He is due for sentencing on Nov. 3 and faces a maximum of 20 years in prison.

The matter stems from an ongoing effort to target narcotics dealers who sell drugs to users that cause death or serious injury.
