Eleanor Stamler Leonard, 91, of Monroe, Passed Away
Mrs. Leonard was employed by Sears, where she worked in the finance department for 20 years before her retirement.

MONROE, CT — Eleanor Stamler Leonard, age 91, of Monroe, beloved wife of the late Robert J. Leonard, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in New York City, NY on October 30, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Stamler.
Mrs. Leonard was employed by Sears, where she worked in the finance department for 20 years before her retirement. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree from the City College of New York and was very proud to have the ability to speak three languages fluently. Above all else however was her family, especially her beloved granddaughter and three cherished great grandchildren, whom she adored. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her children, Robert Leonard and his wife Donna of Monroe and Patricia Leonard of Derby, a granddaughter, Jessica Cassio and her husband Anthony of Bethel and three great grandchildren, Lucas, Clara and Eleanor Cassio.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
