First Selectman Steve Vavrek has scheduled a joint meeting of the Board of Finance, Town Council and Board of Education to discuss the budget proposal for 2013-14, following the referendum defeat. It will be held on April 10 in the Masuk High School Media Center at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be televised and available for viewing on Channel 17, the Town of Monroe's website and social media sites. The first selectman has scheduled the meeting in accordance with Chapter VIII, Section 6, of the Monroe Town Charter. After gathering input, Vavrek can adjust the budget proposal in time for a second referendum on April 23.
