Fun with Shrinky Dinks (Photos)

A group of teens and preteens drew and colored designs on Shrinky Dinks plastic inside the Ehlers Community Room of Edith Wheeler Memorial Library Wednesday afternoon, then Lorna Rhyins, the adult and teen services librarian, shrunk the artwork in a toaster oven.

Once taken out of the oven, the sheets were pressed down on to flattened it out.

"It's really fun," said Rosie Lyons, 14.

Rosie made a guitar and a heart with her boyfriend, Ryan's name. She plans to make it into jewelry.
