MONROE, CT — Engineering work has commenced in advance of the construction of the Pond View Development, a 196-unit apartment complex at 127 Main St., which will include seven buildings and a total of 392 parking spaces, Hearst CT reported.

The development also includes a pool and an outdoor projection screen. The project was approved in the spring.
