Masuk and Shelton's boys varsity lax teams battled each other all afternoon before the hometown Panthers won on a goal in sudden death.
The Panthers led the Gaels 7-5 in the fourth quarter before Shelton erupted for two goals to force an overtime period.
The Gaels continued their run, jumping out to a 9-7 lead. That's when Masuk rallied to score two goals to knot the score at 9-9. (A video clip of the tying goal is included with this story).
The game went into sudden death, where the first goal wins and the Panthers struck first for a 10-9 triumph.
