The program will not cost taxpayers any money, according to a school official.

MONROE, CT — A program that will allow students the ability to use a laptop in class without forcing parents to purchase a laptop will be tested out at Masuk High School next year, reports the Monroe Courier. The One-to-One Chromebook program will be piloted at Monroe schools next year.
The district's IT and operations director Jack Zamary said the program will be funded through a grant and will not cost taxpayers any money. He further explained that the program will allow teachers to streamline the process of using technology in the classroom by having all students utilize the same software and technology.
Zamary further explained that lesson plans would not be affected.
