In Memory of Anthony Joseph DeMarco, 51, of Monroe

He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy where he served for six years during the Iraq War aboard the USS Midway and USS Constellation

MONROE, CT — Anthony Joseph DeMarco, age 51 of Monroe and former Norwalk resident, died suddenly at his job on Saturday, July 9.

He was the loving husband of Diana Balbin DeMarco.

Anthony was born in Mt. Vernon, NY on February 21, 1965, the son of Rosalie Mallardi Sarno (Salvatore) of Mamaroneck, NY and Americo DeMarco (Valerie) of Stuart, FL. He was raised in Mamaroneck and was a graduate of Mamaroneck High School.

He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy where he served for six years during the Iraq War aboard the USS Midway and USS Constellation as a boiler tech. Anthony was currently working as plant operator at Wesleyan College in Middletown, CT. He was an avid Yankee and Islander fan, enjoyed soccer and loved his family.

Survivors also include two sons, Anthony John and Justin Anthony DeMarco, a step-daughter Heidi Diaz, all of Monroe, his brother Americo DeMarco of White Plains, NY and many friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, July 15, 10 AM at The Church of the Assumption, 98 Riverside Ave. in Westport. Full military honors took place at church after mass.
