The polls will be open until 8 p.m. as Monroe decides whether or not to adopt an $80,042,285 proposal. As of 1 p.m., 1,381 of Monroe's 12,615 registered voters (10.95%) showed at the polls, according to numbers provided by the Registrars of Voters Office. This represents a drop from the 1,462 people who participated by the same time on April 23. On April 23, the turnout was 11.45% as of 1 p.m., .5% higher than today.
